From bank link to “still fits” in a few minutes

1. Connect your bank

You sign in with Apple or an email link, then connect your accounts through Plaid, the same secure connection many financial apps use. Your bank password goes to Plaid, never to Yesroom. Yesroom can read your transactions and balances, and it cannot move money.

Yesroom asks Plaid for up to two years of history, so your first budget starts from real habits and not guesses. (Banks you link may return less.)

2. Accept a starting budget

Yesroom sorts your history into categories and proposes monthly amounts, plus buckets for the things that come due once a year. You review them, change anything, and accept. It also finds your paychecks and your regular bills from history, and asks you to confirm each one once.

3. See what is truly free

The home screen shows one number: what is left to decide this month, after bills already committed. Under it, each category shows how much is left, with an as-of time on every figure. If a bank feed has not updated in 36 hours, Yesroom marks the figure stale and does not give a verdict until it is fresh again.

4. Check before you spend

• The shared list. Add items at home. The list shows its estimated total against what is left in Groceries, and works offline in the store.
• A trip. Walk into a store and a live tile on your Lock Screen shows what is left as you shop. Your phone notices the store on its own, so there is nothing to tap.
• The share sheet (coming soon). See a product online? Share it to Yesroom and see whether it fits.
• The browser extension (coming soon). On Chrome and Edge, see the category balance on retailer pages and the impact at checkout.

5. Look ahead

Every Sunday, one screen shows the week’s dinners, drinks, trips and gift occasions as estimates against what you have left, using only calendar details that stay on your phone.
