Terms of use
Effective date: October 20, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Yesroom (“we,” “us”) for the Yesroom iPhone app, Yesroom on the web (yesroom.app/app), the browser extension and yesroom.app (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who can use Yesroom
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Sign in with Apple and email sign-in links are tied to you; please do not share them.
2. What Yesroom is, and is not
Yesroom estimates. It does not guarantee. How much you can spend (including Safe to spend and “Still fits”), your cash flow over the coming days (Money in and out and the lowest-cash date), bill dates and expected paychecks are all estimates. They can be wrong. Always check your actual bank balance before you buy or pay.
- Yesroom is budgeting software. It is not a bank and it never holds or moves your money.
- Yesroom provides information and estimates. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or insurance advice. You decide what to buy and how to manage your money.
- “Still fits” and similar verdicts are calculated from the data we have, including bank feeds that can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Figures show when they were last updated. Estimates for future spending, such as from your calendar, are estimates only.
- Safe to spend, cash forecasts, bill dates and expected paychecks are estimates too. They are calculated from what your bank and other providers share with us and from patterns in your past transactions, which can be late, incomplete or wrong. Your actual income, bills and balances may differ, especially if your pay varies, for example with commission or tips. These estimates are not a guarantee of available funds. Check your actual account balances before you make a purchase or payment.
3. Bank connections
You can connect accounts through Plaid. You authorise Yesroom and Plaid to access and retrieve your account data for the Service. You can disconnect at any time. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid’s terms and privacy policy. We cannot guarantee that every bank will connect or that data will always be available.
4. Households
A household is shared between its members. Members can see the household data described in the app, and any member may leave. You must not use Yesroom to monitor, control or harass another person. If you are in a situation where you feel unsafe, you can leave a household at any time.
5. Subscriptions, trials and billing
- Yesroom is offered by subscription. If you subscribe in the iPhone app, Apple bills you through your Apple ID. If you subscribe on the web, our payment processor Stripe bills you, through our subscription provider RevenueCat. Prices appear before you subscribe and are the same on both.
- One subscription covers your household.
- The annual plan includes a one-month free trial for eligible new subscribers. The monthly plan has no trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription begins and renews at the price shown.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. An Apple subscription is cancelled in your iPhone’s Settings › your name › Subscriptions, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. A web subscription is cancelled from the link in your receipt email or by writing to [email protected]; refunds for web subscriptions are handled by us.
- If a subscription ends, bank connections are disconnected, and some features may stop. We do not delete your data because of that, and you can export it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law using the Service; access data that is not yours; probe, scrape or attack the Service; reverse engineer it except where the law allows; or use it to harm another person.
7. Your data
Your data stays yours. You give us permission to process it to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy policy. You can export or delete it at any time.
8. Our intellectual property
Yesroom, its name, design and software belong to us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your Apple devices, subject to Apple’s usage rules for the App Store, and to use Yesroom on the web in your browser.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Yesroom running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you before it takes effect.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are also not responsible for overdraft fees, returned-payment fees, late fees, interest or other charges, or for any loss that comes from relying on information shown in the Service. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using Yesroom and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect the Service or other people.
